The 29th episode of Saturday Mourning Cartoon’s weekly podcast features the oldest animated series we’ve visited to date: Hanna-Barbera’s The Herculoids! This one was … a bit rough. Let’s just say that Saturday morning cartoons have come a long way since 1967 (and still have a long way to go, in most cases). Although Barron couldn’t be with us this week, the fantastic Lura Barber kindly stepped in in his absence (and gave us the best creature effects since Mike Road).
Sean also plugs an awesome LEGO project from creator Alvin Lim, who just so happens to be a fan of Centurions. (Long-time listeners will remember that we tackled that series in the early days of SMC.) Alvin intends to bring Centurions to LEGO in a big way for their 30th anniversary, but he needs your help.
